n international show business, the quality of an event is no longer measured by its size. In the circus world, the term "big circus" is therefore by no means related to the size of the tent, the size of the vehicle fleet, nor to the number of elephants or wild animals, nor to the size of the staff. Rather, it is about the attitude with which the art is presented by the performers, the quality of the acrobatics in the ring, the humorous craft of the clowns and the extent to which the performers, whether man, woman or dog, succeed in touching the audience and thus winning them over.
So Tonito Alexis set out with his lovely wife to recreate this new old great little circus. He took a portion of traditional circus from grandmother's times, scaled down this experiential unit so that the audience can really get up close and see the sweat on the protagonists' foreheads! Now he stood at the front with all his skills, his passion and family, animals and friends in a historically modelled small fairground circus tent, where his "ring became free and the game began". The resulting magic of this unique sawdust philosophy of genuine circus makers can thus spread to a hopeful and grateful audience. Long live the circus!
CLOWN TONITO was born in 1992 with the name Tony Alexander Ylich Munoz to a Spanish father & a German mother. Both parents were clowns. As his brother, grandfather & other family members of the last 5 generations were clowns, he also dedicated himself to this legendary art of stumbling. The 3-year-old Tonito made his debut in Circus Krone in 1995. Committed to family tradition & looking to the future, engagements have taken him to circus companies such as Krone (D), Mundial (E), Bouglioune (FR) & Zalewski (PL). Golden awards at international festivals such as 2016 in Monte Carlo & 2019 in Warsaw push his young career just as much as receiving the Charlie Chaplin Trophy in 2018 in the Sao Paulo International Circus Festival.
