Although Dinslaken is located on the Rhine, its defining waterway is the Rotbach (red creek). Therefore, a separate bike route, called the Rotbachweg, is dedicated to it. Small but nice - that probably describes the bike trail along the Rotbach best. Between the lower reaches of the Lippe and Emscher rivers, it runs through beautiful Dinslaken countryside. The trail offers the best conditions for leisurely rides with the whole family or even sporty bike tours.
Cycling on a grand scale is made possible by the "NiederRheinroute". With more than 2,000 kilometers, Germany's longest network of bike paths takes you through fields, forests and along the Rhine through the beautiful Lower Rhine landscape. Numerous main and secondary routes offer you the opportunity for individual planning, from short day trips to cycling tours lasting several days or large round trips.

Dinslaken is not only an ideal starting point for a bike tour into the countryside. The architectural monuments of the heavy industrial past in the neighbouring cities can also be reached quickly and easily via well-signposted bike routes. A dense network of bike paths with a length of over 1200 kilometers forms the basis of the radrevier.ruhr. Of this, the "Route of Industrial Culture by Bike" alone takes up 700 kilometers.
Large parts of the route network run along former railroad tracks, attractive riverside and forest paths or low-traffic roads. Many anchor points are located directly on the bike path or nearby.
On both sides of the Lower Rhine, on a total distance of 310 km, the bike trail - embedded in a natural river landscape - leads you from Rheinberg via Wesel, Xanten, Rees, Emmerich to Arnhem and Veenendaal in the Netherlands.
The 3 Rivers Route offers you nature, culture, culinary delights and fun for the whole family. A total of 161 kilometers of bike path lead you through the scenically diverse region Lippe-Issel-Lower Rhine with unique nature experiences and numerous cultural sights. Whether it's a short stage or a long tour is up to you. A special feature for all e-bike owners are the numerous charging stations along the route. Local restaurants take care of your well-being and offer culinary refreshments.
The Lippe, the longest river in North Rhine-Westphalia, beckons with an eventful past and invites you on a historical voyage of discovery. On more than 400 kilometers of the Roman-Lippe route you can experience Roman culture and water adventure between Detmold and Xanten comfortably from the saddle. In addition to the 295-kilometer main route, eleven thematic loops with an additional 154 kilometers naturally offer the possibility of a shorter stage. Take the opportunity to follow the traces of the Roman legionaries on new paths by bike and explore the contrasting landscape of NRW.
Then rent one of the apple-green NiederrheinRäder bikes. You can rent one of the bikes at around 40 rental stations in the Lower Rhine region. At the end of your tour, you can return it anywhere in the rental network.
